About the event
Infrastructure and AI Hackathon is a 24-hour hackathon on March 27–28, 2027. Venue to be confirmed. Participants work in teams and present their projects on Sunday. Taking part is free.
What is a hackathon?
A hackathon is a short, focused event where people work together to turn an idea into a working prototype. Teams choose a challenge, explore possible solutions, and build something they can demonstrate by the end of the event. The goal is to experiment and learn, rather than deliver a finished product.
At Infrastructure and AI Hackathon, teams have 24 hours to explore infrastructure and artificial intelligence. Developers, designers, and people with knowledge of a problem can contribute different skills: writing code, shaping an idea, testing assumptions, or preparing the final pitch. You can arrive with friends or find teammates at the kickoff, and no previous hackathon experience is required.
Why take part?
Participants get a chance to learn by doing: try unfamiliar tools, work across disciplines, and practice explaining their ideas. A clear deadline helps teams focus on what matters and test an approach quickly. Even an unfinished prototype can reveal what works, what needs more research, and which assumptions were wrong.
The event also brings people together around shared interests. Working on a challenge can lead to new friendships, future collaborators, and ideas worth pursuing after the weekend.
Why support the hackathon?
Sponsoring helps make participation free and gives teams the time, space, and resources to experiment. Your support can cover practical needs such as food, equipment, and event costs, making it easier for people to take part.
For organizations working in infrastructure and AI, the event offers a way to meet curious people, share expertise, and hear fresh perspectives on real problems. Mentoring or contributing a challenge can help teams understand your field while giving your organization insight into how others approach it. Prototypes are starting points for discussion and further exploration; they are not guaranteed production-ready solutions.
